What did you do this past week?

I didn’t do that much this week, I took a midterm for a different class early in the week and didn’t make it to class any day other than Friday.

What’s in your way?

I have to finish the Life project, and work on a project for another class over the week. I also need to get caught up on the classes I missed.

What will you do next week?

I’ll finish the Life project, and then hopefully take it easy over Thanksgiving! I need to work on some personal projects, student org stuff, and a project for another class over the break though, so it isn’t looking to be a very restful break.

If you read it, what did you think of What Happens to Us Does Not Happen to Most of You?

I just got done reading it, and I found it insane that people actually act like that. I don’t think I know anyone who would ever act like that, so it is even more weird to me that there are people out there that would act like that. Otherwise, I found it eye-opening and not a bad read.

What was your experience of inheritance? (this question will vary, week to week)

I found the differences between C++ inheritance and Java inheritance to be very enlightening, I had never thought of a different way to implement the feature other than how it is done in Java. I also found that it was pretty intuitive other than a few quirks here and there.

What made you happy this week?

I didn’t have much to do this week, and I also did really well on one of my midterms.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Take advantage of classes being recorded this semester, it’s really helpful to go back and listen/watch the classes on 2x speed when you’re stuck on an assignment or missed class.
