What did you do this past week?
We talked about constant references, constant pointers, and arrays in class. I also went to the career fair on Wednesday in lieu of class that day.
What’s in your way?
I still have yet to start project 2, so I have that in my way, as well as class this week. I also need to start on some homework for other classes. Finally, my family is coming in to town for my birthday this weekend, so I need to have it all done by Friday evening.
What will you do next week?
Start project 2, work on homework for other classes, and work on personal projects/hobbies.
What was your experience of values, addresses, references and consts? (this question will vary, week to week)
I has never seen the syntax for making a constant pointer (not a pointer to a constant) and think it is kind of weird. I have seen the majority of the discussion about pointers before since most of what I have been doing personally has been in C. I had never seen the things discussed about constant references, but it made sense to me. I had also never thought of the name of an array being a constant pointer, though it also makes a lot of sense.
What made you happy this week?
I finally don’t have to worry about the career fair, and I turned in my homework for my logic class that I unfortunately did not get to finish. I spent a lot of time on it and it was stressing me out however, so I am glad that it is finally over with.
What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
If you went to the career fair this week, make sure to follow up with a thank you to the people you talked to (if you can reach them). It may not help you get an interview/job, but it comes across as very professional.
